The genesis: an inspiration from Tokyo
Welcome ! My name is Céline. Here is the story of this gallery : In September 2019, my work brings me to Japan and I fall passionately in love with this beautiful country. Japan, as well as many countries in the world, close down in March 2020. I am far away from my Mauritanian husband and from my family, but luckily I happen to meet an artist who has been living in this country for more than 20 years. Beatrix brings me into her artistic world. I receive comfort as well as the immense pleasure of discovering the work, the emotions, the thriving background and challenges of what it means to be an artist, the difficulties and the value of giving a life’s energy to expression. I discover the joy of choosing a frame for a picture, discussing colors, shapes, textures, space, arises the idea of creating an contemporary art gallery online, to support Beatrix and other artists, and to transmit the same feeling I have, to others.
